In one of the villages somewhere in this nation of islands, white buildings, and windmills, at the area with the great view of the ocean and two of the other islands situated close to each other, there sat the blue hedgehog, Sonic, and the black-and-white long-eared cat, Klonoa, on the white and blue railings in the section of the area where the food stands were. The moment before, she was flying out of the dark void she had been in. Now she found the side of her face pressed against something fluffy and her front hooves tightly hugging the fluffy thing itself.

As soon as she realized what she was hugging, Dash let go of the cloud and then pushed herself up with her hooves, looking down at it and then left and right at her surroundings.

What she saw in the void definitely was not an illusion. She really was hugging the cloud, thinking it was Cloudsdale. With that, she now knew Discord had definitely tricked and twisted her into this.

Darkness... Pure, total darkness... Nothing but an empty black void around her. It was as black as black could possibly be. It was all she could see, going far into the seemingly endless distance, both ahead and wherever she looked.

Was there anything else in here? Or was she alone in this dark void of soundless nothingness?

"Where...where am I...?"

In the middle of the Everfree Forest, a long, floppy-eared, black and white cat laid there, face flat on the ground. After a few hours of being unconscious, he was finally waking up.

"Ohhh, man... Ugh."

Slowly regaining his consciousness and slowly pushing himself up with his hands...Klonoa slowly stood up on the grassy ground, leaning a bit forward and still looking sleepy. He sighed, and then looked to his left and right.

"What a wild trip, that was... Where am I?"

Standing up straight, he was now looking around, trying to get a grasp of his surroundings.
